Johnson, former United States Senator and Washington Attorney General Slade Gorton, County Sheriffs, State Legislators, County Council Members, and a variety of other distinguished citizens and influential organizations. He was rated "well-qualified" to serve on the Court of Appeals by the bi-partisan Constitutional Law PAC.
Having argued fourteen cases in the United States Supreme Court and numerous appeals in other courts, I know something about the temperament and philosophy that makes a great appellate judge. An appellate judge must be able to apply coherently broad principles to specific facts with integrity to the purposes of the law. Jeff Teichert has the education, experience and intelligence to perform this difficult task, and will serve with distinction on our Court of Appeals.
